A little about our store

Wells Wayside opened the doors in1952. We were the largest showroom in Eastern North Carolina back then and we still are today. We feature solid wood furniture, as well as top quality mattresses and foundations. We also offer custom design furniture and we have designers on staff (house calls available by appointment).

Located right on Hwy 70 halfway between Morehead City (19 miles) and New Bern (15 miles). Wells Wayside is easily accessible from Raleigh, Kinston, Rocky Mount, Wilmington, Greenville, Jacksonville, New Bern, Morehead City, Emerald Isle and even the Outer Banks. And our “White Glove” delivery service covers all these areas.

The quality of our furniture is exceptional, but don’t take our word for it, come in and see for yourself! We have entire galleries of Winesburg, Bassett, Kincaid, Hooker, Thomasville and many more wonderful manufacturers. You’ll find that we host a “no push” showroom, which means that we’re here to help when you need it, but you are never under any pressure to buy – browse at your leisure.

If you find it on our floor, great, however, we excel at customizing and special orders. We understand that you may want different and unusual. And, you won’t have to wait three months for it! Service at Wells Wayside is always exceptional.

Wells Wayside Furniture & Design Center is open year-long, closed for Christmas and Easter Sunday.
